Thomas Jones Synod College, Jowai Celebrated the Thomas Jones Day on the 22nd June, 2017 as a token of Commemoration to a great man, Rev. Thomas Jones I who came a long way from Wales to the Khasi Hills as a Missionary to preach the Gospel among the Khasi People. It was he who established the Khasi Alphabet by using the Roman Script. In this great day the College organized the Symposium on the theme " U Synniang U Rev. Thomas Jones I sha ka jaitbynriew Khasi" (The Contribution of Rev. Thomas Jones I to the Khasi people). Mr. D.M Wahlang (District Administration, West Jaintia Hills District) was the Chief Guest along with Tbn. B.N Lamare (G.B Member) as a guest of Honour.
